2025 Health Humanities Consortium Conference in Philadelphia
In April, I hosted the 2025 Health Humanities Consortium Conference at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia with an incredible staff team who worked tirelessly to welcome more than 300 attendees and 150 presenters to our campus (and online): Chelsea-Mia Pierre, Kirsten Bowen, Tajinnea Wilson, Marcie Mamura, Lori Waselchuk, Mary Zhou and Chelsey Velez.
Highlights included three keynote events: Mothers of Gynecology with artist Michelle Browder in conversation with Monument Lab founder Paul Farber; Catacombs of Science: Human Remains Collections in the 19th Century and Today, a lecture by historian Sam Redman at the iconic Mütter Museum at the College of Physicians of Philadelphia; and artist Dominic Quagliozzi's powerful Betadine drawing workshop.

Thanks to all the attendees and presenters who shared their research and health humanities practice; to our kind and generous sponsors; our staff, faculty and student volunteers; and community partners including the Mütter Museum and Museum of the American Revolution.
