I’m thrilled to be a contributor to the collection Radical Pedagogies published by the U.S. Latinx Art Forum. Edited by Andrea Lepage and Elizabeth Ferrer, this collection explores how Latinx artists use pedagogical strategies as integral elements of their artistic practice, treating education not just as context but as a radical, creative medium.

I’m excited to be part of the thoughtful and idea-packed volume, Curating Engagement, edited by Aaron Levy, Abigail Satinsky and Daniel Tucker, and published by Public Trust and Wagner Foundation. Best of all, the full book is downloadable for free.

I’m pleased to share the catalogue (ebook) for We Here, a community-engaged art project led by artist Roberto Lugo in collaboration with Mural Arts Philadelphia and a dedicated Community Advisory Council. I edited the catalogue as part of my role as Curator of Public Engagement for the project over more than two years.

In October, Helix Gallery celebrated its second anniversary with the exhibition Of Black Wombhood, an independently produced oral history project created by curator and cultural producer Tanya Latortue.

In June, I was a 2025 Fellow at the Institute for Critical Social Inquiry at The New School, New York, participating in Professor Homi K. Bhabha’s seminar, “Systematic and Traumatic: Agonisms of Racial Injury and Social Justice."

Last month, I had a wonderful time getting to know artist, advocate, and former legislator John Killacky for a public event at The Fabric Workshop and Museum in Philadelphia. The event celebrated John’s recent residency at FWM and his participation in the exhibition Soft/Cover.

In April, I hosted the 2025 Health Humanities Consortium Conference at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia with an incredible staff team who worked tirelessly to welcome more than 300 attendees and 150 presenters to our campus and online.

In March, I participated in the “Health Aesthetics” panel discussion at Rice University’s Medical Humanities Research Institute. Organized by lecturer Travis Alexander, the panel celebrated the opening of an exhibition by artist Pato Hebert.

In October 2023, I opened Helix Gallery, a 300 square-foot storefront space on Locust Street in downtown Philadelphia at Thomas Jefferson University. The gallery showcases creative projects that explore connections between the arts, humanities, medicine and health, as well as an annual Jefferson student art exhibition.
