Claiming the Body: John Killacky in Conversation with Megan Voeller
Last month, I had a wonderful time getting to know artist, advocate, and former legislator John Killacky for a public event at The Fabric Workshop and Museum in Philadelphia. The event celebrated John’s recent residency at FWM and his participation in the exhibition Soft/Cover.
2025 Health Humanities Consortium Conference in Philadelphia
In April, I hosted the 2025 Health Humanities Consortium Conference at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia with an incredible staff team who worked tirelessly to welcome more than 300 attendees and 150 presenters to our campus and online.
Health Aesthetics Panel at Rice University & Gold Humanism Summit
In March, I participated in the “Health Aesthetics” panel discussion at Rice University’s Medical Humanities Research Institute. Organized by lecturer Travis Alexander, the panel celebrated the opening of an exhibition by artist Pato Hebert.
Helix Gallery – Now open in Center City, Philadelphia
In October 2023, I opened Helix Gallery, a 300 square-foot storefront space on Locust Street in downtown Philadelphia at Thomas Jefferson University. The gallery showcases creative projects that explore connections between the arts, humanities, medicine and health, as well as an annual Jefferson student art exhibition.
